Enterprising, persevering and charismatic Liszt Alfonso (1967) had a clear dream since childhood: to found her own company and take it to the world stage. That dream came true when at the age of 23 when she created Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba (LADC), which has become one of the most prestigious in the world of the dance and music, by the novelty of her fusion style, never seen before.

She has received multiple awards for her choreography and is renowned for her tenacity, simplicity and art that began at 4 years old when she received her first ballet class. Her professional training transited since by the prestigious Cuban school of ballet and other dance schools: Spanish, dance-theater, folklore, among others, to graduate at the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), specializing in Teatrología and Drama, in 1990.

She has created, choreographed and directed all the shows she has staged for her company. In her hands, Liszt Alfonso Dance Cuba became the first Cuban dance group to perform a run on Broadway, at the world famous New Victory Teather, with her show strength and compass, in 2003; an experience that repeats in 2015. As part of that international projection, LADC has performed with great success with critics and audiences in countries like USA, Canada, Spain, France, Germany, New Zealand, Egypt, Qatar, South Africa, Kingdom of Bahrain, China, Holland, Belgium, Mexico and Colombia, among others.

Her constant concern for children and young people forming human and artistic values, led also to the foundation and direction of the Academy of Dance (Vocational Workshops), the Children and Youth Ballet, as well as the Summer Courses and Choreography Competition, all with the seal of her company. In line with its ongoing and outstanding work devoted to the new generations, it has been accredited as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.

In 2014 he was one of the protagonists of the campaign "25 leaders, 25 Voices for Children" organized by UNICEF in Latin America and the Caribbean to celebrate the anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Also the seal of her choreography has been widely recognized at the international level, thanks to the active participation of the famous and LADC-winning music video Dancing, Enrique Iglesias, Descemer Good and People D 'Zona, who led Alejandro Perez.

Among the many awards she has received are: Distinction for National Culture of Cuba; Dora First Prize of the Canadian performing arts in the category of Best Choreography for her musical life, 2008; First Prize for Choreography of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC / 2006 and 2008) and Prize Foundation Cuban Artists of New York, 2001.
